The Buildings as Material Banks (BAMB) (https://www.bamb2020.eu/project) (2015-2019) had 15 partners from 7 European countries. It aimed to enable a systemic shift in the building sector by creating circular solutions. It focused on the following sub-themes: policies and standards; material passports; reversible building design; circular building assessment; and business models. A series of case studies were developed to explore opportunities in reversible design approaches, the implementation of materials passports and the development of new business models for circular material value chains.
